As an advanced CHNS-O Analyser, it is specifically designed for organic Elemental Analysis based on high-temperature catalytic combustion (Dumas method) for the simultaneous detection of the elements CHNS, with O available as an option.
The ECS 8040 is a fully automatic model that represents a true evolution of the CHNS Analyser techniques based on “flash combustion” and chromatographic separation. The combustion gases CO2, H2O, SO2 and N2 are separated in a GC column maintained at a constant temperature, selectable by the user between 30°C and 110°C. The detection and determination of the concentrations of the various elements is carried out by a highly precise thermal conductivity detector (TCD).
Controlled by a microprocessor and interfaced with a computer, this automated unit delivers industry-leading data.
